Michigan Racing Events
Today is a great morning to go for a run to start the day. The temperature is warm and there is a nice cooling breeze. Today we would like to focus on all types of racing events. Everyone likes a challenge and a running event is a perfect way to challenge yourself!
There are many different type of running events that everyone can participate in. There are marathons, half marathons, decathlons, duathlons, 5k’s, 10k’s,Ultras, trail races, obstacle courses…Etc. Each year there seems to be a new run that comes out so there is no excuse for not running a couple of these events. Most of these events are great for charity and help out the community. There are many different races that even have a festival or concert throughout the weekend for the run. Many of these newer events also provide a wide range of athletic ability. In the Mud Run you are using so much lower body strength because of the resistance that the mud withholds on the legs. The Warrior Dash is a whole body workout run because you not only have to run a 5k but also go through 10 obstacles. The obstacles are all different and provide a range of athletic skills. There are ropes, walls, mud, fire, water, tires, cars…Etc that will be in your way. This is one of my favorite races personally and other similar events like it. This year all of us at Esteem Fitness Training will be running multiple events not only to stay healthy but also to have fun!
